What is the duration of a treatment session?

At Back on Track our physiotherapy sessions run anywhere between 30 minutes – 1 hour in order to adequately accommodate your needs and address your concerns.

Who will provide my treatment and what happens during the first physiotherapy session?

Assessment and treatment will only be provided by a registered physiotherapist in a one-on-one consultation. Our experienced practitioners will perform a detailed assessment of the injured area in order to formulate an accurate diagnosis. Once this has been established, you will be educated on the underlying causes of the injury and what to expect in subsequent treatment sessions. Your goals will also be discussed, therefore, specific treatment plans can be implemented.

Do I need a referral?

No, you do not need a referral from a GP. Many of our patients are referred from orthopaedic surgeons, however, this is not essential.

Can I claim from my health fund using HICAPS?

Yes, if you have a current private health insurance policy that provides cover for physiotherapy, you will be able to claim the rebate from your health fund using HICAPS. The health fund will pay the rebate directly to us and then you will be required to pay the difference.

Do you accept Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plans

Yes, if your GP decides you are eligible to be treated under the EPC program, please bring this referral with you to the initial consultation. We charge a standard consult fee and the current rate by Medicare will then be reimbursed.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

Please bring a copy of any referrals from your doctor or health professional regarding your condition, x-rays, CT scans, MRI scans and reports that you have had relating to your injury. Comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear are required; we also provide shorts and gowns for treatment.

Do you treat workers compensation and third party cases?

Yes, if you have an accepted WorkCover claim or if you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident and have received a letter from the CTP insurer accepting liability and approving physiotherapy treatment. If we haven’t received approval from the insurer, we are unable to treat you.

Do you treat NDIS?

Yes, we are NDIS certified. Please bring a copy of your service agreement to enable the treating physiotherapist to formulate a plan regarding the frequency of treatment. NDIS treatments are bulk billed.
